We’d like to thank Ancestry.com for their generous support of our conference. Ancestry is a Platinum Sponsor, the sponsor of our Keynote session, with speaker David Laskin, and the conference app.
The conference App was such a success in Boston, we could not miss the opportunity to offer it to our attendees again. Visit your smartphone app store and search for IAJGS to download the multi-show app, where you will be able to access past, present, and future conference apps all in one place. From the app, you can view the schedule, speaker information, other conference information, and we will even have the speakers’ handouts available from within the app for a limited time surrounding the conference. More information will continue to be added to the app leading up to and during the conference. The app is also accessible through a web interface, so anyone can use it on any computer.
In addition to their sponsorships, Ancestry.com is bringing an extra booth to our Exhibitor Hall this year. The World Memory Project is one of their archiving projects that is powered by volunteers. Working with the US Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM), the World Memory Project is working to index the records of the USHMM. The index is available online, and since it’s created by volunteers, it is absolutely free to search.
We thank Ancestry.com for their generous support of the IAJGS 2014 Conference.
